Nike Kyrie 4 “Ankletaker” Available Now

Hot off of the release of the “Confetti” Kyrie 4, Nike plans to drop this toned-down color way of Kyrie’s newest signature model.  This iteration of the Kyrie 4, nicknamed the “Ankletaker”, also features different materials compared to the first release, such as a synthetic suede upper.

The Kyrie 4 also provides a lot of new tech that had previously been declined in other Kyrie’s other signature models, such as full length Zoom Air.  Cushioning was a constant issue with the entire Kyrie line, obviously substituting impact protection for court feel.  For those who prefer this incredible court feel (enter Mr. Kyrie Irving), this previous design was a match made in heaven. For the rest of us who prefer decent cushioning and impact protection, yet still want to experience some sort of court feel, the new Kyrie 4 should be a pretty fun and comfortable set up.  The front portion of the shoe is equipped with engineered mesh that is sure to provide breathability and comfort.

The Nike Kyrie 4 “Ankletaker” is now available for $120.00 USD at most Nike retailers.  These are sure to be easily available but don’t sleep for too long, as calmer colorways have sold out on rare occasion.  Stay tuned for further Kyrie 4 release information.

Kobe Bryant Jersey Retirement Nike Apparel

The Los Angeles Lakers will retire Kobe Bryant’s No. 8 and 24 jerseys tonight at Staples Center.  This would be the first time Kobe Bryant has appeared in a Lakers game since his retirement.

Due to this historic event, Nike Basketball and the NBA have created exclusive apparel and products to commemorate this highly awaited event.  We was able to get our hands on the shirts that were initially released on, but quickly sold out online.  Thankfully, we heard that these shirts appeared in stores such as Foot Locker and Champs Sports and picked them right up.

All three shirts are Dri-Fit and beautifully designs with simple logos and representation of Kobe Bryant’s career.  You can check out each in our video below.  If you were interested on purchasing the shirts or other apparel, visit or your local Foot Locker House of Hoops.  Not sure if these are exclusively available on the West coast as we have heard it isn’t around in the East coast stores.

Nike Kyrie 4 “Confetti” Drops This Weekend

We are about 30 games into the NBA season and Kyrie Irving has shown no slowing down with his Kyrie 3 colorways.  Most recent as the Boston Celtics last game against the Denver Nuggets, Kyrie rocked a pair of turquoise Kyrie 3’s that featured a lobster print on the back portion of the upper.

As recent as this past week, images have service of Kyrie’s newest signature sneaker with Nike, the Nike Kyrie 4.  First images that were released were of this model in a black and white colorway.  However, the most recent photos that we have seen are of this “Confetti” colorway.  This sneaker features the left shoe in a mostly purple with a blue panel on the medial side and a blue swoosh on the lateral side.  The right show is shown off in a mostly volt with a pink swoosh on the lateral side, and a pink panel on the medial side.  Overall these include features from his past signature models.

These are slated to drop on Saturday, December 16, for $120.00, and should be available at most major retailers like Foot Locker, Champs Sports, and of course Nike.  Stay tuned for future Kyrie 4 release information here on Kicksologists.

Nike Air Max 97 “Gold Reflective” Available Now

Since this is Nike’s 20th anniversary of the Air Max 97, they have been releasing several different color variations of the classic Air Max model, with the next release being a premium model.  This model, covered mostly in black, provides the wearer with the same comfort and sleek design of the traditional 97, but adds gold hits throughout the sneaker, visible only to a flash or special lighting.  These gold hits are visible on the full air bubble, the midfoot panel behind the Nike swoosh, the label on the tongue, as well as one of the piping lines on the upper surrounding the shoe.

With this presumably being one of the last iterations of this model from Nike this year, they are sure to go out with a bang.  These were released on Black Friday, and some locations have sold out, however others may still have selected sizes. Some of the previous versions of the Air Max 97 have sold out this year, and there shouldn’t be any surprise that these may follow that trend, especially depending on how limited them make this colorway.

These are available now for $170 retail, and will include the same packaging as most of the previous Air Max Make 97’s to release this year.  Make sure to stay up to date on any future release information for any gift ideas for this holiday season.

Nike Kyrie 4 Release Date Information

With the best record in the league, Kyrie Irving has led the Boston Celtics to a successful season so far.  Currently averaging 23.2 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 5.2 assists, Uncle Drew looks to bring out that Mamba Mentality for a run at the title come May and June.  Until then, Nike Basketball will be having their own little run in this marathon of new sigs and sneakers for the industry starting with the Kyrie 4.

The Kyrie 4 is the newest sneaker from Kyrie Irving and Swoosh.  It features a similar silhouette as the previous models with a throwback touch from the 1 and 3 mostly.  Made months before his decision to ask for a trade from the Cavaliers, the Kyrie 4 looks to have the same minimal setup as its predecessors using Nike Zoom in the heel or forefoot and a aggressive traction pattern for supreme grip.

Kyrie has one of best handles of all time and grip is essential for his style of play.  All three sneakers play low to the ground for superb ball control and the power to change directions in a split second.  For the euro-steppers and crossover pull-ups, the Kyrie 4 will strap you down with the traditional lacing system set up with a new set of teeth along the edges for extra grip.  An oversized Nike Swoosh on the lateral side wants your opponent to know that you stay repping for the brand in Oregon leaving you in its dust.

The Nike Kyrie 4 is expected to drop in time for the Holidays on December 20, 2017 for $120.00 USD in the “Racer Blue” colorway featured below according to Foot Locker release calendar.
